’Soviet monuments’

If you are interested in the cultural heritage of the Soviet era and monuments of monumental art, pay attention to the new book "Soviet Monuments" by documentary photographer Arseny Kotov. In the book, the author has collected images of iconic monuments and monuments, which he photographed for ten years in different parts of Russia and former Soviet republics. These are monuments dedicated to victory in the Great Patriotic War, science and progress, revolutionary events and outstanding personalities of that era. Even now some of these monuments have been destroyed, others will soon be gone. The purpose of the book is to show the greatness and beauty of Soviet monuments, the skill of their authors, and to call for their preservation.
